Are Laser Driving/Spot Lights Safe for our Eyes?

The short answer, yes. The Pro Vision Laser Driving Lights and Spotlights have an FDA EN 62471 approval certificate, (for “laser illuminated projector” (LIP) lights), they comply with the safety standards required for laser lighting products that are used in indoor or outdoor cinema theaters, laser shows, presentations at conventions, image/data projectors in an office setting, in a home, or as in this case for auxiliary lights for vehicles. This compliance ensures that the lasers are not harmful to your eyes.

Why are they Still using LED's with the lights?

The laser part of the light is a spotlight beam that is designed to give you a huge length of distance, and coupled with the led's that are mounted in precision parabolic reflector lenses, will give you beam width, (or a flood beam), for lighting up the sides of the road.

What are the Benefits of Laser compared to conventional halogen, HID, or LED?

The Laser light technology integrated into the light bars, driving lights, and headlamps are 4x brighter than led and, (conservatively), have around 2x more efficiency. The advantages of having laser technology built into into auxiliary lighting is that they generate an extremely high luminosity giving you a much longer visual array in distance, plus the added benefit of the led's gives you a fantastic all-round lighting solution. Compared to halogen and HID. To halogen, the are brighter, give better clarity of vision, last longer, and are more stable. Compared to HID, they are more stable, last longer, and will give you much more distance.

Are All the Laser Lights Suitable for Harsh Environments?

All the laser lights are IP68 rated for complete water and dust protection and are suitable to be used in high and low altitudes and tropical or dry climates. Each light has heavy duty housings and brackets and high grade polycarbonate lenses and will stand the most extreme off-road adventures.

Do They need any Special Wiring or Relays?

In the case of the headlamps, they come with standard OEM plugs such as H4 H/L and H13 H/L terminations for easy integration into existing light sockets. In the case of the driving lights and light bars, you can use standard relay harnesses for when you just want to upgrade existing lights, or you can use the relay harnesses that we have available for free if you need them. Note*** By law, we always advise you to get an auto electrician to fit the lights and check the ampere compatibility and switching system for best results.

What Colour Temperature are the Laser Driving Lights?

The laser + led lights are 5700k pure white, (Lasers utilize phosphor to get the pure white colour). This is around midday sunlight, and from what modern science tells us, this colour temperature is the best light that our eyes have evolved to, to best see the contrast of objects.

Can i use them on Main Roads?

At this time we are classifying them all as suitable for "off-road only" use, as with new technology, we cannot guarantee them as ADR approved as the vehicle would have to get an engineering certificate in your state, and to our knowledge, none exist yet.
